1 - Copy of passport

1 - Notarized copy of the diploma with an Apostille attached.
You must have a copy made and go through the same procedure as the criminal record check and get an Apostille/Authentication attached)

1 - Original self-medical condition voucher (download attachment). You will be required to take a medical examination once arriving in Korea to validate the voucher.

1 - Contract with the school. We will send this to you before or after a position is found.

1 - Original Statewide or Nationwide criminal record check with an attached Apostille/Authentication. From 2010 Jan, only Nationwide criminal record check
will be acceptable.

*Only for those of you already in Korea, you can go to your own Country’s consulate in Korea and get a Notarization for the criminal background check instead of the Apostille/Authentication.

Getting a criminal background check ready

Step 1:

USA: Contact the State police department or other proper authorities to conduct a criminal background check. Local, County, and City wide checks will not be accepted. Must be State or Federal level

Canada: Contact the provincial Mounties.

UK: Contact Scotland yard.

Other countries: Proper authorities that issue a criminal record check.

Step 2:

Get the criminal record check notarized by the proper authorities. Some Countries do not require a notarization before the Apostille/Authentication. Please check with the issuing agencies.
In some Countries, a notarization and the Apostille can be gotten together in the same location. 

Step 3:

Get the Apostille/Authentication for the notarized criminal background check.

What is an Apostille/Authentication?
APOSTILLE: an international notarization usually issued by the state secretary’s office (US) or department of foreign affairs (other countries).

Authentication:*Canada did not join the Apostille pact, so they must get an Authentication from the Korean consulate in their area. Other countries may also get the Authentication in place of the Apostille.
